The Dore and Totley golf club in Sheffield, founded in 1913 from designs by the esteemed landscape architect Dr. McKenzie of Leeds, is a club that continues to grow and develop into one of the finest courses in the district. In 1994, it was redesigned and lengthened from 6015 to 6256 yards. Then more recently to mark the Millennium, two thousand new trees were planted and new land purchased. In May 2005 5 new holes opened for play. The redesigned and extended course now measures 6763 yards with a par of 72. Set on 170 acres of beautiful, scenic parkland, the course is a genuine test for golfers of all abilities, why not come along and see for yourself ? Interestingly, this was also the first club in the county where members were allowed to play on Sundays.
