We were established in 1887 and our course is the only true links course in Yorkshire. We are also one of the oldest courses in the county. The course offers easy walking and is a fair challenge to players of all abilities. The club has hosted many County and Professional events and is the home to the Amateur scratch competitions , the Clevland Salver and the Mid Amateur International, The County Team Championship 2011.
Undoubtedly a very popular attraction, with visitors being made welcome and assured of a friendly atmosphere. Our Championship links course is situated by the shores of the North Sea and measures 6921 yards from the new black tees and 6704 yards from the white tees with a par of 72. The ladies play from red tees all the year round and their course measures 5545 yards with a par of 72. The course itself is easy to walk. it is protected by strategically placed bunkers both on the fairways and around the greens. In addition, and in common with many Championship links courses, it is a true test of golf when the wind blows. It is, as usual, always advantageous to contact the club in advance of your visit to ensure the course is available for play.
