Cast against the beautiful, picturesque background of the Yorkshire Dales, with the famous Beamsley Beacon visible on clear days, Bracken Ghyll has a truly splendid setting for a round of golf. A nine-hole course up until 2000, its eighteen-holes now measure only 5414 yards in length (off the yellow tees) over the undulating countryside, making for a short round of golf. However, it should not be underestimated on the strength of that as it is still very challenging, irrespective of your ability or handicap.
The fairways and greens are meticulously cared for, as are visitors and societies. The club prides itself on being one of the friendliest in the country, a fact reinforced no doubt by its hundreds of members.
