Formed in 1889, Kenilworth Golf Club is located slightly to the north east of the town. Kenilworth town is noted for the stately sandstone ruins of a castle founded in 1120, the scattered ruins of an Augustinian Abbey, and a picturesque old High Street and cottages opposite the castle. But, for some, the golf course takes centre stage.
Kenilworth is an undulating parkland course with many mature trees and pine woods forming natural hazards, giving the club its stunning greens.
The course offers an interesting challenge to players of all standards. Out of bounds on some holes can be a trap for wayward golfers, but well placed doglegs offer opportunities for the long hitters to cut corners and show off their skills.
