Holme Hall was formed in 1908 on natural heath land with an abundance of gorse, broom and heather. It stretches to 6,404 yards with a par of 71 and is a regular venue of the Lincolnshire Amateur and Open Championship.
The excellent 18 hole course, boasts the most superb greens in the area. The course layout offers the golf enthusiast a true test of all golfing skills. Constructed on a sandy plain the course is almost guaranteed to be open, even in the most inclement weather and is often relied upon by all golfers from all parts of the county to be a "port in a storm". The free draining soil allows for year round play mostly from proper tees and on proper greens.
Its most famous honorary member is Tony Jacklin, the former Ryder Cup player who played much of his junior golf on the course. The club still proudly exhibits both his and Tom Weiskopf's scorecards when they both scored 63 in 1971.
