The course at North Manchester Golf Club has the distinction of having been designed by esteemed golf course architect James Braid, the man credited as one of the finest designers of all time, and one who certainly shaped and influenced the way we enjoy our golf courses today.
It was opened for the first time in 1894 and so is one of the oldest courses in the Lancashire region. Set on luxurious, part-moorland parkland, it measures 6443 yards from the tee on the first hole all the way to the pin on the eighteenth, and be sure to watch out for the tricky par-4s that lie in wait here too.
It benefits from being within easy reach, and therefore very accessible, of Manchester town centre.
