Colne's picturesque course lies between Pendle Hill and the Yorkshire Moors, right on the Lancashire-Yorkshire border. As you might expect, Colne's fairways boast magnificent views over the Lancashire countryside. The club celebrated its centenary in 2001, an achievement of which its members were justifiably proud of.
Don't be put off by the fact it is a nine-hole course - this is a true challenge for golfers of all abilities while not being too taxing on the legs of the not-so-young. The course is a flat moorland one, very scenic and with plenty of trees.
There are several long par fours and some very challenging par threes. The short seventh in particular can be a card-wrecker, with a road to the left and steep gulley to the right.
