Designed by James Braid, five time Open winner and architect of some of the finest golf courses in the UK and beyond, Herne Bay is a quaint, picturesque parkland links course set in the beautiful Kentish countryside. Over its eighteen holes, it stretches for 5567 yards - by no means the biggest course in the county, but its strategically placed hazards make it no less challenging than any other, with tests that have thrown many a low handicapper in the past, so perhaps make full use of its practice green before setting out on the course.
It warmly welcomes visitors during the week for the reasonable price of £18, and for an extra £10, anyone with a handicap certificate may play there after noon at weekends.
