KIRKBY LONSDALE Golf Club has seen its membership numbers rise by around 100 in the last 12 months.
The club is also experiencing a record rise in visitor bookings.
The club, which is located in the Lune Valley, has benefited from the boom around golf nationally, as well as its own initiatives.
In particular, the club has gained many junior and lady members, driven by courses aimed to get them into the sport.
“With the new ladies and juniors, we are aiming to create a pathway towards membership,” said Head PGA Professional John Twissell. “It’s not just about giving them lessons; it’s about taking them out on to the course and letting them experience what it has to offer.”
