The Biddenden-based club, which is set to stage the Brabazon Trophy over its Sir Nick Faldo-deigned course next year, is being sold by Savills on behalf of its owners, Paul and Jennifer Gibbons.
A letter from Paul Gibbons to the club’s members said that it was being ‘reluctantly’ sold.
“Over the past 18 years the Leaderboard group has grown and evolved from a company with just one hotel into a business that now has three successful resorts,” said Gibbons.
“Our long term strategy for the group is to focus on our resort business. Chart Hills is a fantastic golf course and, in my view, the best in the group but it falls out of our strategic plans for the future.”
