Cannington golfer Brown is latest to win with programme
Handicap and Benefits programme provides golf club members with access to their handicap online and discounts and offers with famous brands such as Titleist, FootJoy and Your Golf Travel.
As well as these benefits, England Golf has been holding prize draws every week, which members are entered into automatically when registering on the programme.
An array of prizes are given away, including PowaKaddys, SkyCaddies and fourball rounds at the home of English golf Woodhall Spa.
The organisation has given away tickets to high profile sporting events such as Royal Ascot, one-day cricket tickets and Open Championship Hospitality.
The latest of these prize draws saw England Golf team up with Titleist to provide one lucky golfer with a memorable club fitting experience.
The winner, John Brown, from Cannington Golf Club, is just one of the 85,000 golf
club members who have signed up and received the Handicap and Benefit card and access to all online benefits and offers.
“I found out about the programme and registered through my club as I wanted to access my handicap online,” explained John. “I couldn’t believe it when I got the call saying I’d won the custom fitting prize with Titleist. I’ll definitely be recommending the programme. It’s free and there are some great benefits I’ll be using in the future.”
John, who plays three times a week at his club, received a driver fitting courtesy of Titleist at the famous brand’s National Fitting Centre at St Ives (Hunts) Golf Club in Cambridgeshire.
Following this, he was given a guided tour of Titleist’s European HQ where he was able to watch his driver being assembled before being presented with his new club.
As a market leader in club fitting, Titleist has an established club-fitting network across the UK and Ireland which encompasses four Titleist National Fitting Centres and nearly 300 retailers who are equipped with the Titleist SureFit Club Fitting Cart.
Leigh Davies, European Marketing Manager for Titleist Clubs commented: “Club
fitting is about finding the optimum specifications for the individual player.
“Teaming up with England Golf to provide prizes, such as that won by John, hopefully leads more golfers to think about how a club fitting could benefit their game.”
Brown, off 22, added: “I hadn’t really considered Titleist as a club choice before but the difference in the way I was driving the ball by the end of the fitting is staggering.”
