Thai course is ready to open

Pattaya now a ‘must visit’ location, says LPGA star as she opens 18 new holes at the resort

Siam Country Club Pattaya has completed the construction of the Waterside Course, a new 18-hole layout to complement the existing 45 holes at the award-winning golf resort located in Pattaya, Thailand.  Now, according to Spanish female star Beatriz Recari, the Pattaya region is a ‘must visit’ for holiday golfers.

Thailand is fast becoming a ‘go to’ destination for golfers thanks to exceptional value for money, an explosion of choice, and quality resorts, not to mention a fine reputation for customer service.

Designed by IMG Design and expected to open for play in May this year, the new Waterside Course was showcased at a special media event that included LPGA star Recari.

“I have always enjoyed visiting Thailand and playing golf at Siam CC,” said Recari. “With the addition of the Waterside Course, Siam CC Pattaya is truly a ‘must visit’ destination for golfers from Asia or anywhere in the world. Based on my experience, the Waterside Course is very fun

to play and a great addition to the existing world-class facilities at Siam CC Pattaya.”

Siam was the first privately-owned course in Thailand, opening in 1971. In 2006, the original course underwent a renovation and, during that work, construction began on a new 27-hole course on the property nearby, which opened in 2008.
