World famous Ayrshire resort and Open Championship venue remains open for business with hot offers
You can now ‘play and stay’ at one of the world’s great golf resorts for a cut-price rate this winter after Trump Turnberry unveiled its golf and leisure packages for the upcoming winter season.
The resort, owned by Donald Trump, is currently undergoing a massive multi-million pound renovation – but is still open for business this winter.
OFFERS
From 28 September 2015, a range of new autumn lodge offers are available including a great value golf package for those wishing to enjoy the world famous Ayrshire links and the lavishly refurbished Turnberry Clubhouse which opened earlier this year.
Two golfers can play the excellent Kintyre course and enjoy a delicious three course meal in The Duel in the Sun restaurant from only £240 per room per night, with accommodation provided in the Trump Villas.
For guests looking to indulge and relax, then, The Spa at Turnberry is offering special winter packages with accommodation in spacious rooms located above the spa, breakfast, dinner and two 55-minute spa treatments for two for people from just £290 per room.
ACTIVITIES
In addition to the many activities on site throughout the winter, the Turnberry Tea Lounge will continue to serve the resort’s award winning afternoon tea, priced from £28 per person. Located above the spa, this space has far reaching views across to the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig and offers guests a relaxed dining experience.
Through the winter, Sunday Brunch also continues on the first and third Sunday of the month, with the location changing to The Duel in the Sun Restaurant, priced at £28 per person. The Lands of Turnberry self-catering apartments will also remain open, with pricing from £450 for a three or four night stay.
UPGRADE
The ongoing refurbishment at the 2009 Open venue continues with the multi-million pound upgrade of all the hotel bedrooms, the building of a new 500-seater ballroom and the redesign of the Ailsa course, commencing this October.
Golf is available on the Kintyre course and the Turnberry Performance Academy will also remain open.
The refurbishment of the hotel and Ailsa course is scheduled to complete in the spring with a grand re-opening of the resort taking place in June 2016.
