Former US Open champion Justin Rose and Solheim Cup star Charley Hull have become ambassadors for England Golf.
The duo enjoyed great success in the amateur ranks before turning professional – Rose in 1998 and Hull two years ago – and, in their new roles with the national governing body, they will help to push the organisation’s key message of golf being a ‘game for all’.
“We are delighted to welcome Justin and Charley as our ambassadors and look forward to working with them,” said David Joy, chief executive of England Golf. “They will be invaluable as part of our strategy to inspire new golfers and spread the message that golf is a game for all.”
Rose added: “My career started at county level and representing my country is among my fondest memories, playing at a very, very high level and developing skills.”
Hull, who won her first national ladies’ competition at the age of nine, added:. “Golf can get you hooked. I can’t picture myself doing anything else.”
