The Belfry has announced it has extended its partnership with Club Car, taking delivery of 80 state-of-the-art Precedent i3 carts, which the luxury resort hopes will ‘take golfing experiences at The Belfry to the next level.’
The new carts will be available to hire for anyone playing on the three courses at the resort, giving comfort, stability and even the use of a in-built GPS system to get an accurate yardage for each shot, as well as a full flyover of the hole as you move on to the next tee.
The interactive touch-screen also allows you to keep up-to-date with live leaderboards, while its two-way communication system gives the opportunity to order food and drink wherever you are on the course.
The new vehicles also provide a number of benefits for the team at the Midlands resort, specifically relating to the Visage system’s ability to limit access of the vehicles to certain areas of the course, protecting teeing areas and approaches. In addition, the technology enables the course manager to monitor the pace of play across all three courses.
Ian Knox, director of golf at The Belfry, is delighted to have agreed a new deal with Club Car. He said: “We have a long-standing relationship with Club Car, while the staff at the company’s official distributor, CaddyCars, have always provided excellent service and first-class vehicles that any golfer visiting The Belfry can rely on. The new fleet delivers the next level of experience for guests on any of our three courses and provides advanced monitoring systems to help ensure everything runs smoothly.”
Kevin Hart, the EMEA golf sales director at Club Car, added: “The Belfry is the only venue to host the Ryder Cup on four separate occasions, while Club Car has acted as the official supplier at every Ryder Cup since 1995. This shared heritage of successfully delivering one of the world’s biggest sporting events, along with an unrivalled level of customer service, has helped establish a successful relationship.”
