JOHN Gough continued a stunning run of victories with his latest win at the Lytham Trophy.
The 23-year-old England Men’s squad player claimed the title ahead of Scottish 15-year-old Connor Graham.
It is the latest accolade for Gough, alongside the English Men’s Amateur and Spanish Amateur Championship gongs he already had to his name.
A brave effort from Gough saw him take home the title. He began the final round tied for the lead, but a wobble saw him drop back level with Graham.
However, a birdie at the 17th helped him to victory.
The win also meant he became the fifth English winner in succession, following in the footsteps of Josh McMahon, Matthew Jordan, Jack Singh Brar and Alfie Plant.
