Two members of Breadsall Priory, a Marriott Hotel and Country Club in Derbyshire, have been given key roles in helping to develop the county’s junior golf scene.
Paul Smith and Alice Lowe, left, have been picked by the Derbyshire Union of Golf Clubs (DUGC) and Derbyshire Ladies County Golf Association (DLCGA) respectively to support ther region’s ever growing junior contingent.
Paul has been named County Junior Delegate, with Alice taking up the position of Girls’ Junior Organiser. The news has been welcomed by the director of golf at their home club, Steve Turner.
“Here at Breadsall, we’re incredibly keen to support and grow our junior section and welcome young players of all ages and abilities,” said Turner. “Paul and Alice have already done a fantastic job with promoting junior golf, both at the club and within the region; hopefully this will continue with great success through their new roles in the DUGC and DLGAC.”
