Handsworth set to open new holes

EXCITEMENT is building as, this July, members of Handsworth Golf Club will be playing on its three new holes, which have been created in line with the original Harry Colt design. The pick of these is the new 11th, which, following a tight drive, has you playing over a pond to an island green.

Founded in 1895 and located in the picturesque Sandwell Valley just three miles from Birmingham city centre, Handsworth is one of the Midlands’ premier clubs. Widely acknowledged as a hidden gem, the course presents you with “constant challenges”. It is thought that with these additional holes, the course will play one shot harder and further enhance the test.
