The annual Gentlemen of Ledbury and District Rugby and Golf Society (GLADRAGS) charity day was this year held in aid of the Bartestree charity and the money donated will assist St Michael’s Hospice, a charity that is very close to the golf society’s heart.
The hospice helps to provide quality, specialist care to people who have illnesses, as well as assisting their families through the challenging time.
As a result of various charity days over the years, this year’s funds brings the total amount raised by GLADRAGS for a number of different charities and hospices over the years to a massive £100,000.
“St Michael’s Hospice is very close to our hearts and is a fantastic organisation that provides specialist care to individuals that have a life-limiting illness as well as support and services to their families and friends,” said chairman, Ed Hewitt.
