DE VERE Oulton Hall played the perfect host for the annual De Vere Charity Golf Day, which raised £7,985 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Several sports stars and golf industry professionals gathered at the event supporting the BHF, including De Vere ambassador, model and TV personality Sophie Horn, and former world champion athlete, Steve Cram.
The golf day was held in support of the ‘Charity of the Year’ partnership between the BHF and the De Vere Group, which is aiming to raise £250,000 to support the nation’s heart charity.
“We had a fantastic day and the money raised is a great contribution towards our group target of raising £250,000,” commented Keith Pickard, director of golf at Oulton Hall.
“This is a fantastic cause and one that the De Vere Group is wholeheartedly committed to supporting in the next couple of years. We have an active membership at Oulton Hall and I must say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone that entered a team and sponsored the event, as well as those that donated and bid on auction prizes.”
Peter Hollins, the chief executive at the BHF added, “The golf day was a huge success and we are proud of the support from The De Vere Group and each of the properties across the UK. The money raised at Oulton Hall will go towards the BHF’s life-saving work.”
