Investment leads to improvements
In the past three years, the Point at Polzeath, which sits above Polzeath with spectacular views over the north Cornish coast a mile from Rock, St Enodoc, and Polzeath Beach, has received huge investment to help take it to the next level.
The club enlisted renowned course architect Tim Lobb to oversee changes and improvements to the course. As a result, the current design at Point at Polzeath is arguably the most improved course in the county.
The course measures 6,300 yards from the championship tees and is a true challenge for all levels of golfer.
All of its greens now run fast and true and there has also been a lot of changes on the tees and bunkers improving the course definition. Further work is also being carried out over the winter months to ensure it is in top shape for the start of the 2016 season.
What’s more, the family run club is known for offering one of the warmest welcomes around and will happily tailor golf packages to suit your needs. There is also a new driving range, a 700-metre grass airstrip, tennis courts and wonderful coastal walks on your doorstep.
In 2015, the club opened seven new apartments just 200 yards from the clubhouse with stunning views out to Pentire Point and beyond.
The four three bedroom and three two bedroom apartments are ideal for a trip away. They all have under floor heating and log burning fires to give the feel of Scandinavian comfort. Anyone staying on site also has complimentary access to the Health Club, which boasts a 20m indoor pool. There are also larger houses available on site.
At the end of the day, you can watch the sun go down in the restaurant with amazing views over the Atlantic Ocean.
