Supermodel Kidd is made club ambassador
FORMER supermodel and self-confessed golf nut Jodie Kidd has swapped the catwalk for the fairways as she has taken on a new role as ambassador for Brocket Hall’s ladies section.
Kidd, 34, will help promote and expand Brocket Hall’s growing female membership, which already includes England international Gabriella Cowley and pro Tara Dayer-Smith.
“I’ve loved playing golf ever since I first tried it after my father bought me a lesson as a Christmas present as a child, and there are few grander or more beautiful places to play than Brocket Hall,” said Kidd.
“It is a stunning location and the club has everything that a golfer could ask for. It’s a great honour to have been asked to join the club’s ambassador programme and promote it to a wider female audience.”
The 34-year-old is part of a team of new ambassadors at the club, including European Tour star Simon Khan and 2013 World Matchplay and European Long Driving champion Joe Miller as the club shows its commitment to developing the grassroots game.
“We are dedicated to the future growth of the women’s game at Brocket Hall and across Hertfordshire, both in increasing participation and in elite development,” said David Griffin, club manager at Brocket Hall Golf Club.
“We are delighted to have Jodie on board to lead this and encourage women to enjoy their golf at Brocket Hall and develop all aspects of their game.”
