Boughton Golf Club has opted for a deal with Toro in order to assist in the expansion of the golf course.
The club is the latest in a long line across the country that has chosen the company and their equipment to help with the huge maintenance job that comes with running a golf course.
Course manager at Boughton for nearly 25 years, Gary Debenham, knows the trials and tribulations involved and there was only one choice for him.
He said: “It made economic sense to go for a lease deal; the terms are better and it’s affordable. With that decided it only left which brand and distributor to go for, and that was an easy decision.
“Toro is the market leader; we’ve used them for years and have always been impressed with their value, longevity and reliability. I knew they were a safe bet.”
The club went for a variety of new machines, including three Reelmaster 3100-D ride-ons and two Reelmaster 5510-D fairway mowers.
“Every aspect of the course and grounds will need to be at their best, all the time,” added Debenham.
“Footfall will increase as hotel residents use the course and as the hotel hosts weddings and events, I have no doubt that Toro is the perfect partner for us to achieve the best with.”
A 40-bedroom boutique hotel at the golf club is currently under construction and is due to be completed in 2019.
