PGA pro joined group back in 2016 and hasn’t looked back since 25
CRAIG BOLAND has been appointed as the latest Head of Golf at the Aspiration Group, a UK based Golf, Events & Travel business.
He began his career at Ombersley Golf Club, where he turned into a PGA Golf Professional in 2009.
Boland moved to Edgbaston Golf Club in 2010, where he enhanced his reputation for growing and developing the membership of the club and he received excellent feedback as a coach.
“It’s a very exciting time for the golf team,” said Boland. “With the evolution of golf and the changing requirements of our customers, we’re developing and updating our product offering. Not only have we invested in the very latest golf technology in TrackMan 4, we have developed a programme for online and self-service registration and we already offer live scoring and a personalised web-based site for each event.”
He joined up with Aspiration Group in 2016 and hasn’t looked back, specialising in organising major international golf coaching trips for a huge number of guests.
The largest of these involved a 250-golfer event, which took place over four days.
Aspiration Group combines with The Aspiration Group Travel to create personalised trips for almost any requirement, involving travel, golf coaching, hospitality and branded merchandise.
“We believe in investing in our employees,” said Amanda Macchi, Chief Executive of The Aspiration Group.
“Every team member is paid above the minimum living wage and this year we have introduced private health care and every member of staff received an above inflationary pay raise.
“We have a policy of developing and promoting staff from within and we were delighted to offer Craig the position of Head of Golf. We are sure that under Craig’s leadership the golf team will continue to grow from strength to strength.”
