Birchwood park Golf and Country Club got off to a flying start when it hosted its grand re-opening earlier this month following its huge £5m investment. The rejuvenation has ensured the Bexley-based club has become the most comprehensive health, leisure and golf facility in the area.
Following a members’ celebration on the Friday night, the Saturday event invited everybody from the local area to visit Birchwood Park and experience the new facilities first-hand.
The Major of Dartford was in attendance and completed the grand draw for a family membership, won by Sarah Beswick.
Melanie Drake, general manager at the club, was also there to oversee the activities and enjoy the buzz that the opening had created among the local community. “It was a great event for all the family and we are delighted to see so many new faces enjoying the club,” said Drake.
BUSTLING
“The new facilities, including the spa and swimming pool, received great feedback on the day and we nearly had 70 people sign up there and then for the membership. Birchwood Park has always been a bustling club full of activity, but now we hope to see even more people choosing to spend their leisure time with us and making full use of the new developments.”
The new state-of-the-art facilities include a hydrotherapy pool and a panoramic sauna, 60 new pieces of luxury gym equipment and a full timetable of over 50 classes per week at the new pool and studios.
