A POPULAR club pro has celebrated ten years in the job by scooping a top accolade.
Charles le Sueur has been head professional at Alderley Edge Golf Club for the last decade.
This year, he has been named Professional of the Year at the annual Foremost Golf Industry Awards, seeing off competition from 990 pros from across the UK.
“It was a bit of a shock to be even nominated let alone win the award,” le Sueur said after it was announced he had won.
“It’s always nice to be recognised for something you do and this has made all the work worthwhile.”
David Lee, chairman at Alderley Edge, said: “He has been a great strength during the difficult times of Covid and has played a vitally important role in the membership recruitment process.”
