The Kendleshire has been open for 11 years and has a great deal to look back over and even more to look forward to in the future. The club has been a success story almost from the word go and has always been very progressive in the way it looks at the game and treats the many players who return to enjoy the 27 holes that are now in play.
The original 18 holes were designed by Adrian Stiff and many people consider the layout his best work to date. In 1989 the course was voted in Britainís top 10 new courses by Golf World. A further 9 holes were then added in 2002 designed by Peter McEvoy. These are a great contrast to the original holes and require intelligent tee shots and then very accurate approach shots to avoid finding yourself with fiendishly tricky down hill putts.
One thing that you can be sure of when you visit The Kendleshire is a very warm welcome and plenty of good stories to tell whilst sat on the wonderful terrace overlooking the 18th green
