The newly-launched Mizuno Performance Centre at Gleneagles, the only one of its kind in Scotland, uses the Mizuno industry-leading Swing DNA fitting system and shaft optimiser to find the perfect set of irons for each individual golfer.
With clubs being custom built and assembled just 30 miles away at the brand’s Cumbernauld facility, the team will be able to offer a free 24-hour turnaround on new sets midweek, meaning guests can be fitted Monday-Thursday and take delivery at the hotel on the following day.
“It’s a great service for time-poor golfers,” said Gary Silcock, Gleneagles’ director of golf. “When you order new clubs, you want to get out and use them as soon as possible, not hang around for ages waiting for them to arrive.
“At our new Mizuno Performance Centre, you can get fitted on the morning of your arrival at the hotel and then spend the day honing your game across Gleneagles’ three championship courses and enjoying the hotel’s luxury facilities.
“Meanwhile, we’ll arrange for your clubs to be made and delivered straight to your hotel room – ready for you to play with the very next day. This fantastic new service is another manifestation of our commitment to providing an outstanding golfing experience at Gleneagles.”
Tony Scott, Marketing Operations Manager, Mizuno Golf EMEA, said: “We typically quote 5-7 days turnaround for custom-built clubs, so this is a truly unique and premium service that we can only offer at our Performance Centre at Gleneagles due its close proximity to our Assembly plant in Cumbernauld.”
Custom fitting at The Gleneagles Hotel starts from £60. The service is open to everyone; an overnight stay in the hotel is not required.
