Owned by the Richemont Group, Peter Millar is the fastest growing menswear brand in the lifestyle apparel market, with its clothing and accessories distributed across hundreds of the finest speciality retail stores, resorts and exclusive country clubs in the world.
But now, the company is turning its attentions to the European market and, in particular, the UK. Having recently launched its sports collections with Mr Porter Sport, famous London department store Harrods will be getting its first delivery of Peter Millar apparel in June, with the Contemporary Fit collection specifically targeted at the European market.
Founded by Chris Knott in 2001 with a single cashmere sweater, Peter Millar has grown into a brand that exudes a timeless, old-world style.
From relaxed check shirts and cable knits to the peerless polo shirts, the brand prides itself on its exquisite attention to detail and superb craftsmanship, using only the highest quality materials.
“If we won’t wear it, we won’t make it” – Scott Mahoney
“If we won’t wear it, we won’t make it,” said Peter Millar CEO Scott Mahoney, summing up the brand’s approachable take on classic style.
The company’s high performance E4 golfwear range is designed for maximum comfort from the course to the clubhouse and, as well as Ramsay, also counts American trio Brandt Snedeker, Bill Haas and Harris English and South African pair Branden Grace and George Coetzee among its brand ambassadors.
Most recently, 2014 saw the opening of the flagship store located on Madison Avenue in New York, while 2013 saw an additional store open in the prestigious Old Course Hotel in St Andrews.
