The new Wrap-Tech grip utilises a Double Helix pattern that combines two different surface textures for a balance of comfort, control and feel.
Lamkin’s ACE 3GEN material that is used in the Wrap-Tech provides an extremely tacky and shock-absorbing feel, while the added traction in the unique dual pattern provides enhanced control and slip-resistance, making it perfect for play in all conditions.
The second addition to the growing Lamkin range is the UTx Wrap, which uses the same Tri-Layer technology featured in the hugely successful UT grip launched last year.
The UTx Wrap is a combination of materials including a foundation made of soft, super tacky ACE material for enhanced comfort, a middle layer of moisture-wicking fabric weave for traction and control in wet weather, and a firm outer cover for torsion control and grip stability.
Speaking about the two new grips, CEO and president of Lamkin Grips, Bob Lamkin, said: “Wrap grips have always been very popular in the US as they suit the conditions in which most golf is played.
“When we started to think about how to improve those grips we knew we had to provide the comfort and feel that our US customers expected but also genuine performance benefits that our European customers could get in their more changeable weather conditions. In the Wrap-Tech and the UTx Wrap, I think we’ve done just that.”
The Wrap-Tech has already seen success on tour in 2015 with new Lamkin ambassador Miguel Angel Jimenez. The Spaniard put the grip into play during his victory on the Champions Tour in Hawaii and in securing an ace in his first competitive round in Abu Dhabi.
The Wrap-Tech is available in standard, midsize or oversize options and in a black base colour with either white, red or blue detailing, while the UTx Wrap is available in standard or midsize options in royal blue or black.
