Designed to ‘adjust spin control and trajectory for the ball flight golfers want to play’, the Big Bertha Alpha 815 fairway woods give more ball speed and forgiveness across the face, in particular on misses low on the face, thanks to Callaway‘s Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup.
The fairway woods also feature two adjustable weights, one three-gram and one 30 gram. These can be used to move the weight forward in the clubhead for a low spinning flight or to move the weight back for higher launch and more forgiveness.
The compact head shape gives it an appealing look for better players, while Callaway’s OptiFit adjustability allows the loft and lie angle to be altered to one of eight settings.
The Big Bertha Alpha 815 hybrids, meanwhile, focus on a more controlled, penetrating trajectory for better players, along with ball speed across the face and loft and lie adjustability.
The internal standing wave and sole weighting move the centre of gravity low and forward for a more penetrating ball flight and less spin, while the compact head shape has less offset for a look that’s preferred by better players.
Available from January 16, the Big Bertha Alpha 815 fairway woods have an RRP of £249, while the hybrids are priced at £219. For more information on all of Callaway’s product line, visit callawaygolf.com
