Twelve months ago, Nike launched a new generation of waterproofs designed to move with golfer’s swings, today, the brand has announced the second generation of its Nike Hyperadapt Storm-FIT jacket with improvements made to both performance and colour options.
The new Nike Hyperadapt Storm-FIT features no-sew technology throughout the inner layers, with the aim of minimising chaffing and adding a new stretch component to the jacket.
“Understanding what the best athletes want from a product helps us to improve the performance for all golfers.” – Nike Golf EMEA apparel business director Jason Wade
A four-way stretch system has been added to the shoulders and arms in the Nike Hyperadapt Storm-FIT jacket to maximise mobility and eliminates restrictions during the swing, while the woven, stretch knit laminate combination means it stays quiet during your swing and offers a sweater-like feel for comfort and protection at every angle.
Along with a comfortable fit and enhanced mobility, the Nike Hyperadapt jacket is breathable and seam sealed for 100% waterproof protection, and the adjustable cuffs offer a custom fit for increased protection and even less distraction.
“Receiving validation from the players is crucial for us,” said Jason Wade, Nike Golf EMEA apparel business director. “Understanding what the best athletes want from a product helps us to improve the performance for all golfers.
‘This jacket is all about movement – it allows the athlete their full range of motion, unrestricted. The guys on tour will benefit from it, but so will the club golfer.
“We hear consumers say they don’t like wearing waterproofs, because they often restrict movement resulting reduced distance. The Hyperadapt Storm-FIT jacket allows the golfer to hit the ball as far as they would without a jacket.”
The Nike Hyperadapt Storm-FIT waterproofs are available immediately, with prices starting at £200 for a half-zip Nike Hyperadapt Storm-Fit jacket, and £210 for a full zip. The Nike Hyperadapt Storm-FIT trousers have an RRP of £170. For more details on these and the rest of Nike’s product range, visit nike.com/golf.
