The Garmin Approach S6 GPS golf watch combines innovative new features with a slick and lightweight design, giving golfers everything they need on the driving range and out on the course.
The biggest new addition is the innovative training assistance that it offers. The SwingTempo, TempoTrainer and SwingStrength features are all built into the Garmin Approach S6 to measure swing consistency and synchronisation, giving you an accurate insight into your golf game and the ability to really improve your technique.
The battery life has been extended, too, and can now last an impressive ten hours, just over two rounds, in full GPS mode
The dedicated CourseView button allows you to quickly and easily preview hole details like doglegs, bunkers and water hazards on the full colour, high-res touchscreen, which was only previously available through Garmin’s golf handhelds.
On top of that, there are a range of scoring options, including strokeplay and stableford, that can be used on the Garmin Approach S6, and once you’ve finished your score you can upload it to Garmin Connect to compare your round and track improvements on every course you play.
Loaded with over 30,000 international courses, the Garmin Approach S6 also has the brand’s GreenView technology which shows you the exact layout of the green, while PinPointer allows you to line up your shot even if you are in the woods or deep in the rough.
The battery life has been extended, too, and can now last an impressive ten hours, just over two rounds, in full GPS mode before it will need charged again. It can also be paired with your iPhone to allow you to discreetly receive texts, emails and call alerts to your watch. It is expected to be Android compatible in summer 2014.
Set to be in shops during the third quarter of this year, the Garmin Approach S6 has an RRP of £349.99. For more information on this and the rest of Garmin’s GPS golf range, visit garmin.com
