A fine quality parkland course awaits you at Alfreton Golf Club in Oakthorpe just a few minutes drive from the quaint little town of Alfreton. It is one of the oldest courses without question in Derbyshire having been established in 1892, some 121 years ago. The club is in an area of outstanding beauty, located in parkland next to Oakerthorpe Woods.
It has only eleven holes, but to underestimate it as a result of that would be extremely foolish and ill-advised as it still poses a significant challenge to all who play there, and is on the whole a very fair test of golf to players of all levels of ability. After your round, why not relax and unwind in the fine clubhouse, where a refreshing drink is made all the more enjoyable by the friendly atmosphere the club's members create.
