The exceptionally demanding course at Antrobus Golf Club, set deep in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside, was opened in 1993 for the first time by cricketers Michael Atherton and Neil Fairbrother. At that time, it was a nine-hole course, before being extended in 1994 to fourteen holes. The final four holes were completed in 1995.
Nowadays the club has an active membership of over 500, who are no doubt drawn to Antrobus largely because of its stunning setting. It is built around natural water hazards and wooded areas. Indeed, watch out for the par 3 eighth as you face a drive over a large lake to a broad but tight green. Anything short will end up in the water.
The clubhouse has been recently was renovated in 2011 and has a lakeside terrace that gives you the opportunity to watch those finishing their round on the 18th.
