Wakefield Golf Club is certainly one of the oldest in Yorkshire dating back all the way to 1891. It was designed by legendary golf course architect Alex Herd who shaped and influenced many of the golf course designs we see today, and is a true test of golf for players of all abilities. It will excite and interest both high and low handicappers, challenging more experienced golfers, without intimidating players that are new to the game.
Measuring 6653 yards from the tee on the first to the pin on the eighteenth, it is quite a long course so be sure to have plenty of energy in your reserves to plot you way around it, and keep your concentration and patience in order to score well.
