Thorpe Marsh Power Station Golf Club

Thorpe Marsh Power Station Golf Club is located, unsurprisingly, right beside the Thorpe Marsh Power Station in Darlington, South Yorkshire. It is not the most famous of golf clubs and will probably never hold a major sanctioned tournament - but that doesn't mean you won't enjoy the subtleties of its challenge, of which there are many.

The parkland course, which is members only but welcome visitors by prior arrangement, stretches to 6,000 yards and comes with a relatively tough par of 70. It is a very unique course - mainly due to the surrounding environment - and will provide a challenge to players of all levels. It might not be Sunningdale, but it's just as much fun.
