Designed by world-renowned golf course architect, Dr. Alistair Mackenzie, South Leeds Golf Club has sat just outside the city centre since being founded in 1914.
It is an undulating parkland course that provides a sound test of ability for all levels of golfer, whether high or low handicapper, beginner or more experienced. It is certainly a fine course that will excite most fans of the sport in spite of being relatively short - it measures just 5769 yards over 18 holes. It is exceptionally well maintained by the diligent greenskeepers and be sure to watch out for the tricky par 3s as they have tight approaches to greens that are well guarded by some strategically positioned bunkers.
