Sand Moor Golf Club

Sand Moor Golf Club first opened its doors to the public in 1926 to reveal a wondrous golf course, designed by the legendary golf course architect Dr. Alistair Mackenzie, responsible for some of the finest and most famous courses in the world. It gives marvellous views over the Exxup reservoir and the grounds of Lord Harewood's Estate, just five miles to the north of Leeds. It is a well wooded, undulating course, with water to be found on many of the holes. Watch out in particular for the 12th where the fairway slopes down perilously close to the reservoir. It is perhaps best to pack some spare balls in your bag before teeing off!
