Rotherham Golf Club first opened its doors to the public in 1903 and since then has gone on to be a one of the consistently most popular courses around. Its centenary celebrations last year were enjoyed by many and no doubt enhanced the club's already fine reputation for being warm, friendly and accommodating to new members.
The course itself is mainly flat, and so is easy walking, and is laid out on luscious parkland. Many of the fairways are tree-lined and are quite tight, so accuracy is absolutely essential from the tees as stray shots will certainly not go unpunished. It offers a par of 70 for eighteen-holes, spanning a total distance of 6324 yards.
