2011 was a sensational year at Leeds Golf Centre. A multi-million pound investment programme has helped to reposition the facility as one of The North’s finest all-round golf venues and 2012 will see this reputation develop even further. Numerous improvements have been made to the overall standard and range of facilities on offer. Aside from superficial works to the car park and outdoor landscaping, money has been spent on totally refurbishing and re-stocking the Pro Shop, new changing room facilities, the installation of two high-tech indoor swing studios, a brand-new bar & restaurant and a stunning re-design of the Wike Ridge championship course. The result is a facility of significantly higher profile and appeal than its predecessor – one which continually receives glowing endorsements from club members, returning customers and first-time visitors alike. In addition to the Wike Ridge championship layout, Leeds Golf Centre also boasts a unique 12-hole par-3 course – The Oaks – prepared to the same exacting standard as its better-known sibling. Both courses feature USGA-spec greens and tees. The facility is also extremely proud of its market-leading Academy where six full-time PGA-qualified professionals provide tuition to players of all standards from absolute beginners to European Tour stars.
