This undulating parkland course has brought a smile to the face of many hardened golfer and for good reason. This is a great course and well worth the money. It's exciting, requires invention and is certainly one of the best in the area.
The golf club originated in 1909 as a nine-hole course but was extended to full capacity in 1976 by top pairing Huggett and Coles. Every hole presents a different test and the terrain sets up some memorable shots. The 14th, for example, requires a tee shot down into a valley with lateral water hazards protecting both sides. This leaves a tough second shot uphill to the green. Another tester is the uphill par three 17th where a rolling green is the 'reward' for finding the target.
