Heworth Golf Club (Yorkshire)

Heworth Golf Club is a supremely enjoyable parkland course which belies its urban location. Located just a mile and a half from the historic York city centre, the century-old club is a mere youngster in comparison to the ancient architecture by which it is surrounded.

The course at Heworth is a traditional parkland, with tight landing areas off  the tee protecting a relatively short course at just 6,105 yards. Mature,  deciduous trees line the fairways, placing a premium on accuracy over distance, with accessible greens vulnerable to attack-minded approach play ifyou can find the right spot with your tee shot.

Heworth welcomes visiting groups and casual visitors seven days a week, and provides a hospitable atmosphere in which to enjoy this challenging yet rewarding course. A selection of fine beer and other drinks can be enjoyed in the clubhouse after your round, while reflecting on a memorable day’s golf.
