Doncaster Golf Club

Situated four miles south of the town centre is the hugely popular Doncaster golf club. Now in its 111th year, it has undergone many changes since it was first built in 1894. As a result of the M18 motorway construction in 1978, land from the course had to be sold off, and so ultimately the course was redesigned to include new holes. Then, in 1997, the splendid, new, state-of-the-art clubhouse was opened, bringing the club in line with 21st century glamour.

The course itself is eighteen challenging and technically demanding holes. Set around wooded heathland, affectionately referred to locally as "The Warren", and stretching out over 6220 yards, it is a par 70 that will test amateur and professional alike.
