Barnsley Golf Club

Of the many people who have had the welcome opportunity to play this superb course, almost every single one will afterwards soon declare it to be one of their favourite courses in Yorkshire. And considering the competition, that is mightily impressive.

Barnsley is an interesting and extremely challenging course where wayward shots are punished and good ones rewarded. It is known for its friendliness and the its relatively inexpensive green fees, which, incidentally, never fail to pull the visitors. The course has many great holes but it is the collection of par threes that will stick in the memory the most. The members believe Barnsley's short holes to be among the best in Yorkshire - and it's hard to disagree with them.
