Best of all for golfers, Blenheim Lodge has a resident golf enthusiast, Robert, who is also a member of Windermere Golf Club. For golfers who love to chat about their game, this friendly guest house could not be a better place for that! Golfers also love looking at the pictures of Prestwick Golf Club which adorn the walls in the entrance hall and lounge, as Robert is also a member of this club. In the past, Robert has been known to go out golfing with guests who required a partner for their game!

For golfers who go out in all weathers, Blenheim Lodge also has a drying room for hanging up wet gear. If shoes get muddy, we also have outside taps to deal with this. We can also help to store golf clubs. Most importantly, we can help with booking tee times and even arranging lessons for golfers who want to improve or learn the game.

Blenheim Lodge is a quality guest house, and this is reflected in the lovely antiques that grace many of the rooms, the pocket sprung mattresses, luxury towels, bedding and soft furnishings. Breakfasts served include local produce such as handmade sausages and handcut bacon, as well as local produced dairy products and eggs delivered fresh daily. We offer 11 single, twin, double and triple rooms, 10 with en-suite facilities, and 1 with a private bathroom. There is a comfortable lounge for guests to use.

We also offer on a 'first come, first served basis', 2 FREE fishing permits for the Windermere and Ambleside District Association lakes, and a FREE fishing permit for Esthwaite Water. As with the golf, we can help to arrange fishing lessons. Another FREE perk is private country club membership for our guests at a nearby leisure club. And a private car park.

Blenheim Lodge is known for its clean, friendly and hospitable 'home from home' atmosphere. Located in an elevated position, guests will be able to enjoy stunning Lake Windermere views from most rooms, some of which have antique 4-poster and romantic Louis XV beds. On our website, we also show a room with woodland views, and guests can wander at will in the fields and woodlands that our guest house nestles against, and walk the Dalesway, just by the guest house and paths to the three view points near us.

For guests who do not wish to golf, we can organise sightseeing trips that pick up from the guest house. We can even arrange a romantic dinner cruise on a luxury yacht, with pick up and drop off at the guest house. The steamboats by the Lake, just 7 minutes' walk from us, are easily accessible and provide transport to Lakeside, Ambleside and Hawkshead. Attractions such as the Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Windermere Steamboat Museum are just minutes' walk from us. If you wish to indulge yourself or a significant other, we can help to arrange beauty and massage treatments locally too.

Little extras can also be arranged for guests who come to visit. Flowers, luxury handmade chocolates, wine or champagne can be ordered for your arrival.
