Churchill and Blakedown Golf Club is home to a beautiful little nine-hole course that is great fun for all the family. It might be a little on the short side, but it is by no means a holiday pitch-and-putt course.
To prove that, there a number of holes which present a very different and welcome challenge to the next, surely the sign of a good golf course.
The short fourth boasts trees on both sides of the fairway and requires a tight, accurate drive while the third is guarded by deep bunkers on a third. The seventh is a particularly menacing dog-leg where you can either try and cut the corner and go for birdie or play safe.
