This imposing Jacobean style country house hotel was acquired by Menzies Hotels in August 2003 and has since undergone a major refurbishment programme.
The par 70, 18-hole championship golf course, with its lakes and rolling countryside, is challenging for the expert and exhilarating for the novice. The course is an absolute gem, occupying 157 acres in the shadows of the Welcombe Hills and the golf hotel. It makes a spectacular setting for golfing breaks. The course somewhat unusual in that it includes three par five and five par three holes. From the back tees the course measures a deceptively long 6,288 yards.
