Established in 1908, Leamington & County is situated approximately two miles south of the town centre of Leamington Spa in Whitnash, where the road to the course, aptly named Golf Lane, is well signposted.
The golf club offers a well appointed clubhouse with extensive panoramic views of open countryside, as good as any in the area. Both the first and tenth tees are situated near the clubhouse, ideal for those who wish for a snack mid-round. In 1908 Open champion James Braid, together with ex-Open champion Harry Vardon, joined fellow professionals Fred Robson and George Duncan to stage an exhibition match at a golf meeting that also included an amateur competition for the Leamington Town Bowl, gifted to the club by the Burgesses of Royal Leamington Spa.
