Hatchford Brook is well established with wide open fairways enticing you to use your driver off the tees. The greens are big and some span up to 20 yards, so a good approach short is vital to leave a short putt.

In the summer the greens are fast and slick for a tougher challenge. The 16th is a difficult par four, sometimes needing three good shots to reach the green as a strong wind always seems to blow directly into your face. A five is, at times, taken with glee.

From the tee you can either carry two fairway bunkers at about 220 yards or you can play left but close to the rough.
